    Game won't download from windows store


    Hi I'm having the same issue as this redditor.

    Trying to download a game from the digital store on XSX and it won't download past a certain point (2.22Gb/5.51Gb). Only thing is im in a dorm so I can't do anything to the router and the people who can, won't.

    Is there anything that can be done under these circumstances? thanks

    I'm afraid the old 'Games For Windows' Marketplace closed down some years ago now, including the servers.

    You won't be able to re-download these purchases from The Windows 10 store either.

    You'd have to check for it on the Windows Store and download it there. it won't automatically show in your Games.

    You can redownload from the Microsoft Store app or the Xbox app on Windows. Make sure you are logged in with the account that was used to purchase the game, otherwise you won't be able to download and install the game.

    Xbox One games run on the bespoke Xbox One OS not in Windows. You won't be able to buy a typical PC game and download it on your console. It won't work like that. However, we could get to see Windows 8/10 apps and games that are available via the Windows
    Store also running on the Xbox One platform.
