Game went on sale after purchasing at full price.

I recently bought Forza Horizon 3, (exactly 1 week ago) and i saw it go on sale with gold 4 days after the purchase. I was wondering if there is a way to get a price change or a chargeback to the games current price. Ive done this with other games/companies
such as League of Legends, so i was wondering if i could do it here. Thanks!

MS does not issue refunds if you buy something at regular price and then it goes on sale. The sales have been well known on various gaming websites for a while now. Also, there is a sizeable ad about the Countdown sale n the dash, so knowing it was going
on, you might have wanted to wait incase it went on sale. I bought Assassins Creed 3 at Best Buy for full price and a week later it was on sale for half off. That doesn't mean I should get a refund because they decided to have a sale after I bought it.

I saw that xbox was having a sale of a selection of games and decided to buy points for Dead island. On the store is was £8.99 so I bought 1200 microsoft points to buy it. When I got home I couldn't download it.

This has happened before when Dawnguard was on sale. I bought points and when I went to buy i couldn't. I know it's not my connection because a few day after it was back at full price so I know that it was changing price. Well MICROSOFT IF ITS NOT ON SALE
PUT IT BACK TO ITS FULL PRICE AS FAST AS YOU CAN BECAUSE NOW HAVE JUST WASTED MONEY.

You would have to try contacting support to see if they can refund your original purchase so you can repurchase it at the sale price. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or Contact Us | Xbox Support

 

there is also another problem you probably don't realize

Deals with gold are limited time offers

And refunds if issued takes.time before they kick in

Meaning if it takes a week for it to kick in and the sale ends before the week is over you miss the sale

You have to wait for them to remove it from your queue before you can repurchase it

I dont even think you realize the issue

One you have to be refunded the whole.amount not the partial amount. And it's not a one use only thing

Customer support does not have network access to remove items from your list they have to send it to the network engineers which takes time

League of legends and other online single games don't have download queues and installs etc you are talking about micro transactions vs download purchases

The Xbox purchases have to be refunded and removed from your queue

Vs league of.legends micro transactions they just remove the item from your inventory

Hence why psn.xbox and nintendo are more.complex

If billing support couldn't do it for you there is nothing that can be done as you didn't meet the requirements for a refund otherwise the billing team wouldve.done it for.you already

As mentioned there is no rebate for.jumping the gun

Promotions team does not deal with billing only missing promotional items normal they force promotions to appear
