Game updates ask for more space, free with gold game cand redownload...

I've had this problem for so long now. I was in support chat for more than an hour, and they couldnt figure it out... I get a game update and it says it need 1512mb free space. Go to clear space, and I have more than 10Gb free... try to update again, still
says needs free space. So I delete a few small games, and it starts updating. It doesn't even take all the space it asked for... It wouldn't be much of a problem, because I can just redownload the games I deleted. It'll just take a few hour because my internet
is slow. BUT! I deleted Beyond Good and Evil HD, which was free with gold forever ago. I still haven't played it yet. I go to redownload it, and it's not in my download again list... I go to the Xbox store, and it's asking me for $9.99?!?! WHAT THE HECK, XBOX!!!!
It's bad enough I've had to deal with this stupid update problem, but now this?!?! I can redownload Rayman Legends no problem, But you're gonna charge me for Beyond Good and Evil?!?!

Download Issues for updates & Install

I'm having the same issue with ufc update it gets to 9 percent and won't go any further, been like this for 2 days now, also been trying to download power star golf for my free games with gold game and that won't go past 1 percent. I have over 30 percent
free space on my console

 

Evolve ultimate edition

its listed as a "free with Xbox live gold membership...I go down to the actual game in the store to see if it downloading and see pending....And it just sits there not downloading....I have more then enough space 153.2 GB free out of 34.7 for the game so
not a space issue...Any ideas why it won't accept it?

 

If you are sure you own the game, then your best bet is to contact Xbox Support, and they should be able to help fix the issue with your game.

So yeah, as long as you have a Gold subscription you should be able to redownload the game if it was available as games with gold no problem normally. There are some troubleshooting steps on our

Games with Gold for Xbox FAQ that I would give a shot first if you are having problems with them.

However, we do have a service alert affecting Xbox Live right now that could be resulting in this funky situation. You can see the status and even get notified when it is resolved on our side by visiting the page titled

Xbox Live Status.

Give those pages a gander and let us know if they help with the resolution of the issue
