    GAME UPDATE (NOT) AVAILABLE - Flight Simulator


    So here's this week's Flight Simulator problem.

    Having run the app, it asks for a Windows Admin sign in, presumably because it's just downloaded something and needs permission to install it.

    MSFS starts the usual loading routine with the various splash screens, then when it gets to the rhino on the African savannah, a prompt appears "GAME UPDATE AVAILABLE - A new mandatory update is available. Please update Microsoft Flight Simulator in the Microsoft Store before launching". So I clicked OK and head of the the Store. I check what updates are available. The only related update is Microsoft Gaming Services. I update everything, reboot and try again. Same message on loading MSFS. I visited the Store again. No updates to download. I'm completely up to date. I tried to run MSFS...same message. Reboot again...launch MSFS again...same message.

    What now?

    why can't I find where to buy flight simulator x for my pc?

    Flight Simulator X isn't. That is an old game. However Microsoft Flight Simulator is.
