Game Update Error Related to Windows Store

Hello,

I did successfully open the Services menu and change the Windows Update Startup Type from "Manual" to "Automatic." This triggered an update. After installing the update and restarting my computer I clicked on the "Microsoft Store" button from the start menu and got the same behavior. Nothing happens when I try to open Microsoft Store.

Enable the "Windows Update" service:

Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

1. Type "services.msc" (without quotes) and press Enter. This will open the Services window.
   
2. In the Services window, scroll down and locate the "Windows Update" service.
   
3. Right-click on the "Windows Update" service and select "Properties" from the context menu.
   
4. In the Properties window, make sure you are on the "General" tab.
   
5. Under the "Startup type" section, select "Automatic" from the drop-down menu.
   
6. If the service status is shown as "Stopped," click on the "Start" button to start the service. If the service is already running, you can skip this step.
   
7. Click on the "Apply" button to save the changes, and then click on "OK" to close the Properties window.
   

Once you have enabled the Windows Update service, you can proceed with checking for updates by following these steps:

1. Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
   
2. Go to "Update & Security" and click on "Check for updates."
   
3. Windows will now check for available updates and install them if any are found.
   
4. Restart your computer if prompted.
   

Enabling the Windows Update service should allow you to receive and install updates from Microsoft, including any updates related to the Windows Store and your game.

So far neither of these options worked at restoring the Store.

After running the system scan into Command Prompt the scan stopped at 77% with the message, “Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.” I tried this scan twice and repeated this result. Is there any way to identify what may be interrupting the scan?

When I tried reinstalling through PowerShell I got the feeling that something did not happen correctly because it did not take some time to process as you said. After restarting Windows I was still unable to open Store. I'll attach a couple of screenshots to show what I typed and how PowerShell responded in case I did something wrong here.

I'm sorry. I may not understand your directions here. What exactly am I performing? My problem here is with the Microsoft Store, which does not launch. The Xbox app and Sea of Thieves both launch successfully. I don't see how anything on this list relates to my problem.
