    Game Update Download Issue


    Hey everybody I am having a issue with my game updates downloading. I work a lot during the week, so the weekend is when I do most of my gaming. I started up Halo : MCC and it said it had a update. The screen continued to say that Halo had a update after
    a few minutes it told me that something went wrong and to try again later. I tried multiple times and even plugged my xbox into the router with a ethernet cable. (thinking it was a wifi issue) Still the same result. I did the "check network" option and it
    said that I was all good. I power cycled as well to clear the cache and still nothing. So I gave up and decided to play Shadow of Mordor, sadly the same events took place, so my question is, is anyone else having a similar issue and if so does anyone have
    a solution?

    Yeh I have this issue too, I have it set to download updates etc, but I always need to update my games and OS etc.

    Issue downloading game update.

    Hi!

    Sorry to hear you're having problems but let us see if we can help. After checking a few pages, i think i may have found 2 possible solutions for you. It's a little bit of reading but if it works, it works.

    First possible solution is found here:

    That is from the official trouble shooting pages. There is some good stuff there and if you try following every option, chances are your issue will be resolved.



    Second is a post within these forums by Xbox Support. Some of it is the same but there are one or two additional solutions you could try. The link is

    Can't reinstall game on Xbox Games Pass for PC

    Found the issue! There was an update to this game queued in the 'Downloads and Updates' section of the Microsoft Store. I think the update was stuck there in limbo, as I'd uninstalled the game. Downloading the update now - and now it shows up as downloading
    in the Xbox app.
