Game update caused my console to completely crash and now won't start.

Hi,

I recently updated my 'PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds' game to the most current update, a few games in I died after coming across an unrendered player (I could only see his guns).

After this my Xbox completely crashed and now isn't responding to any factory resets, offline USB resets or power cycles. I am completely baffled as to what happened and I'm aware via various social media groups (For the game) that I am not the only person
this has happened to.

Any help? The support pages want me to send in my console but I refuse to spend GBP £114 on a repair that an official game update caused.

Edit: I should add before this update my console was working absolute fine.

Go to the Xbox One System Update Solution.
Select I am getting an error message or an error code.
Select I am getting an error code.
Scroll down the screen and select E101 XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX.
Follow the instructions in Step 4 to successfully update your console.

Games are 'sandboxed' and can't damage the Xbox operating system, so it's likely your console has a hardware failure.

That error means you have to do an offline update using a USB flash drive or send the console in for repairs.

Reset the console to the factory settings to solve this problem.
