This is how it will go:

At the end of the game you will come face to face with the main enemy. He will somehow get you at a disadvantage. Luckily your dog comes in just as soon as he is about to apply the final blow to you. The dog attacks the enemy giving you enough time to regain
control of the situation.

However as the dog is attacking the enemy he hurts and kills the dog. When you see this, filled with rage, you beat the living $*&@ out of the enemy with your bare hands. Then you quickly run over to the dog, hold it in your arms, cry a little, then credits.
