game stuck in xbox live installer

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you're having trouble installing No Man's Sky on your PC. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner for you to get back to gaming.

There are possible reasons why you are having issues installing a game and since you have determine it has something to do with Xbox live installer, let us check on this further. Please provide us answers to the following questions:

1. May we ask if you have issues installing game/app from Microsoft Store?
   
2. Please post a screenshot of the issue and conceal your personal information like gamertag, full name and email address.
   
3. May we ask if this Xbox live installer is part of an error you are seeing?
   
4. Do you have antivirus, antimalware, VPN, firewall, proxy and PC Optimizer (or something like game accelerator) installed in your PC?
   
5. Can we ask if your PC is Windows 10 or 11? Is this connected to a domain and work/school device?
   

Here are some steps you can try for this issue:



1. Check your internet connection: Make sure that your internet connection is stable and strong enough to download the game. You can try resetting your router or modem to see if that helps.

2. Restart the installation: Close the Xbox Live installer and restart the installation process. If the game is still stuck, try restarting your PC and then restarting the installation.

3. Clear the cache: Clear the cache of the Xbox Live installer by going to Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Xbox Live installer > Advanced options > Reset.

4. Check for updates: Make sure that your PC is up to date with the latest Windows updates. You can check for updates by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.

Same problem but with the standard edition. Haven't played any yet, stuck on 13%. Tried resetting Xbox, uninstalling, changing game, installing with Internet off, still stuck.

If these games are on disc then I suggest HDTV cleaner spritzed onto a microfiber cloth and gently clean the disc and try installing again. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL on blu rays as it can cloud the disc enough so the laser will not reflect back and render the disc
useless.

If no joy and/or games were a digital purchase call support.

I tried installing to the xbox and it still wouldn't work. After leaving the xbox shutdown and unplugged for a few hours Batman had finally disappeared so I was able to install that again and this time it worked. Forza still won't work, I tried deleting
all the accounts off the xbox and then power cycling and installing with no accounts and still no luck. I guess I'm going to have to contact support, thanks for the help though.
