    Game streaming won't connect to the xbox


    I'm having an issue where the app loads and can tell my controller is connected but when I go to connect to my xbox it won't connect. They're on the same network and everything and it was working great up until lastnight. Thought maybe servers were down or something but it's still not working this morning. Anyone have any recommendations?

    I'm using a windows phone with the same issue. Simply won't connect. Smartglass and game streaming both find the xbox just fine.

    Are you using the Xbox Console Companion on your PC trying to stream from Xbox or the Xbox Game Streaming (Preview)?

    Try going to Device connections on your Xbox and make sure Xbox is able to connect.

    Also check Allow Play To streaming and Allow game streaming to other devices.

    System > Devices & streaming > Device connections

    I'm from the UK. My provider is Virgin Media - 130mb/s Down - 10mb/s up and no data caps or networking throttling.

    I've also seen a slight increase in downloads times off the marketplace after I changed my DNS server settings from VM's to Google's.

    May I also point something out with regards to streaming on Windows 10. If you stream an Xbox One game to a Windows 10 device in the same house, the stream uses your internal wireless network. It won't matter what connection speed your ISP gives you as the
    stream won't use that.
