Game-Specific Button Mapping

My Proposal to Xbox,

In the settings for Xbox One there is already a feature which allows you to completely change your controller’s button layout, known as “Mapping.” This feature is already amazing, but it could easily be better.

My idea is that you add an option for users to create specific button layouts for each game they own/play. There would be a list of games along with a search bar to choose whichever game the user desires to create a custom layout for. Once created,
the user could save that layout for future use. Whenever the user plays a game that they have created a specific layout for, their Xbox One will already recognize the user’s customs settings. The controller layout will only apply while playing the game.

User’s could also have an option to name their custom layout and publicly share it or send it to friends for them to try as well. There could also be a rating system for player made controls that have been submitted to the official page/hub. The
community as a whole could rate the button layout with a “like” or “dislike” as well the option to share or comment on it. This way user could help each other find the optimal layout for any game they would want, as well as get feedback on their ideas.

There are an enormous amount of games on Xbox One, and the user base mostly tends to stick to certain games. This new feature could be healthy to the overall economy of Xbox One as the user may feel more comfortable playing certain that may have
felt clunky to them before, due to controls. Giving players this option that is easy to use and extremely helpful would make Xbox an even better experience. It would further promote a deep personalized user experience that would put Xbox before any other gaming
console.

button mapping

I have the same problem when trying remap, for some it will not let me click done, I tried hard reset and did memory wipe, but still not working. This is very irritating to deal especially when Destinys next expansion. please fix as soon as possible microsoft.

yeah i have had the same problem and spoke to xbox support on twitter etc and all they could give me answers was to look on forums and find an answer but this is really annoying and im like TotemicM3gatr0n, rise of iron for destiny is out practically in
9-10 hours time in the UK and i cant button map my RB button
