Game simply won't even start (Xbox One)

I have recently purchased the black friday bundle for Xbox one that comes with assassin's creed unity and black flag. I've been playing unity for the past couple days with little to no issues, but black flag just utterly doesn't work. It's fully installed,
but whenever I try to launch it, it just goes to the game's logo for about 3 seconds then goes back to the home screen. Any ideas a to how I can fix this would be appreciated.

Hey I had this problem as well. Best bet is to restart your system with a hard shut down.

Hold the power button on the console until the power brick light goes orange, then back to white. Give it a second, then turn on the console. Hope this helps!

I have exactly the same problem here, it's simply not being detected. One thing as well my Xbox won't turn on with the tuner plugged in, unplug it and it starts up fine.

Doesn't work, I have the same issue. The game simply won't start after the update.

Happens to me this week and right now, it even disconnected me from LIVE. That is when it doesn't freeze. I am searching for information about this since 4 days now. My app simply won't start anymore.
