Game sharing Xbox x to Xbox s is not working.

I bought new Xbox x and set it as My Home Xbox.

I got new game on the Xbox x, installed to Xbox x.

I have second console Xbox s. My fiancé can’t play the new game on xbox s. He plays racing game on Xbox x , I play shooting game on xbox s and it kicks him every time I try to play. He’s account has the game pass and new games on it. So we game shared before Xbox s to Xbox s, now we can’t Xbox x to Xbox s ?

I get asked to “end session” or sign out

No option to sign in as my account

Hello there,

every Xbox 360 and or Xbox one game you can play via backwards compatibility on your series X/S share the same multiplayer network, so yes you can play those games with your friends across different generations of Xbox. However for future games releasing
on Xbox one and series X/S separately, I can't confirm that it will work a 100%.

Games with series s/x Logo are not working on xbox one s/x ..

But xbox one games works on series x .

You need to set whichever console that you wish to share to as the Home console. Since you set your X as your Home console, it is only that console that things will be shared to. If you wish to share to the S, then you need to set that console to Home instead.

Allow me to address your question in behalf to my co-moderator here.

You are correct that you have to buy the game again for your Xbox Series S and make sure to associate it to the profile signed to the console since your aim is to play together same game on different consoles. If you wish to share your games using the Xbox Series S, you will set Xbox Series S as home console while on your Xbox Series X it must be remove as home Xbox. You can only have one home Xbox at a time. If you sign in to multiple consoles, we recommend you choose your most frequently used console as your home Xbox.
