Game share with wife, can she play on my Xbox whilst I play the same game on my laptop?

killerFISH199, you can only do this if your account or the one that owns the game is set to Home Xbox on the console that your wife will use, only in this way you can play the same game at the same time on your PC and she on the console.

If when she starts the game on the console she logs you out on the PC and vice versa, it only indicates that the account is not set to Home Xbox.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select System> Settings> Personalization and then select My Domestic Xbox.

Review the information and then do one of the following actions:

1- Select Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox.

** Unfortunately, if you have used the 5 switches in your console, you will have to wait 12 months after your first share was used.

After using the 5 switches plus the additional ones, unfortunately I can not restore this function for you, as I do not have access to the players' accounts. This feature is based on a strict policy due to the nature of its use.

This feature should only be used inside your home.

Any use outside your home is not acceptable.

This is a common issue while using Xbox with friends, the game will sign you out on your Xbox if you are playing on another device to avoid sync issues with game progress and data.

The only way to let others play games that you own on another console is by setting it to your home Xbox, which can be found in your settings.

1. Go to Settings > General > Personalization

2. Select My home Xbox

3. Choose Make this my home Xbox and confirm your choice.

Once you've done this, anyone who signs in on your console will have access to your games and game pass subscription.

My wife and I would love to play games together however, since she is is double inverted (X and Y axis) she is very limited to what she can play. In the xbox settings we can invert the Y axis, so why isn't their an option to invert the X axis. I know my
wife isn't the only person out there who would love this setting.

Everyone in my house has a 360 of their own so I don't have to share mine. Mine is in my bedroom next to my wife. She has her tv and I have mine. We have a family gold plan and often play some of the same games together by system link. I really only by games
that are system link considering sometimes I'm unable to renew my gold membership, so we need to still be able to play multiplayer over wi fi or lan. My wife watches walking dead while I play whatever (soon to be Splinter Cell Blacklist). When football time
comes she checks our fantasy teams online from her tablet or phone or laptop while we both watch the game and I'm playing a Football video game. After football season she gets the television back because the only show I watch is Jeopardy. Other than the shrinking
picture in picture screen and the lastest greatest games this box does nothing I can't already do.

I was playing BF3 while my daughter was up, until she started running around telling people she was going to killed them. OOPS. Now, I just wait until she goes to bed. Also, I have to turn it down. The other night she said to
my wife, "Daddy's game is way too loud." Oh the joys of having an opinionated 3 year old. But for real though, she likes to watch my wife play Facebook games and when my wife play Kinect Sports 2 she tries to join in. By next year she may be playing Kinect
games by herself.
