Game share - Save game progress problems?

I game share with my little brother and he is able to play my games. He uses my old Xbox One after upgrading to the Xbox One X.

The issue however is that he cant seem to save any progress?

He can play any game of mine but the next time we play together all the progress is lost.

Please help!

Thank you so much for patiently waiting, Marcus. Since it's game sharing, this means that the person who owns the game will be the only one who can saved his data where he left off. Because in game sharing process, saved games and saved data cannot carry
over. I believe this is the reason why your brother can't recover the level where he left off. I hope you understand, Marcus.

Further Info About The Family Sharing Function

I think the only real advantage to Family Share over traditional demo/free trial was that Family Share allowed you to save your progress and pick up where you stopped when you actually purchased the game.

Wow - I was wrong. Turns out that I didn't give the game a chance to load from my previous save statue position. I was confused because the mission I left was Amon Hen - when I loaded my save, I was in the canoes paddling and I assumed I would start the
mission from the beginning. In stead when I arrived at the shore the mission started from the save statue position.

There should be a "Save and Quit to Middle Earth" option when saving at the statue. That would make things a little more clear.
