    Game share is not working and home xbox was removed?


    So me and my boyfriend use game share to play games together. i have him set as my home xbox so i usually have his game pass and xbox live shared with my account. a few days go it completely disconnected and my xbox no longer says his account is my home xbox and he has no more switches apparently. i can no longer have him as my home xbox due to these issues. please help! also weve tried just about everything!

    Is it possible for you to get someone that has my account as their home xbox and take it off

    like gds1972 said if your game sharing all you have to do is set your xbox as the home xbox again and it will remove the license from there side so they cant access your games but there is no way to remove it from there xbox unless they do so but u can
    stop the game share by changin the home xbxo again

    you can remove his account from your xbox as it doesnt need to be on or signed in for game sharing to work if you have both set each others console as your 'home' console

    No need to remove the home status from other systems. Simply making another Xbox your home Xbox removes the home status from the prior Xbox.
    Can i have more then 2 accounts for game share or is it only 2?

    If he has altered his home Xbox setting and removed it from you, you will not have the rights to play the games download through the home Xbox share.

    Hello Gnamas,

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that home sharing is not working on your shared console in regards to Xbox gamepass. We suggest trying out the following:

    1. Remove your home console association by selecting "Remove this as my home xbox" in the personalization settings on your shared console.

    2.
    Power cycle the Xbox

    3. Make the Xbox your home console again (Note that this should not take away a home console switch from your remaining switches)

    Please let us know the results.
