Game share COD MW2 on xbox

Hi

I have bought and downloaded COD MW2 for my xbox and under my profile.

I have game share set up and my console is the home one.

I can share other games with my son but we cannot play COD MW2 online at the same time, even using our own individual profiles.

Everytime I try, it tells me that I am already playing it on my sons console (despite him playing on his own separate profile).

Is there something I can do to get us both online at the same time?

When you buy a game you purchase the right to play one copy at a time

publishers, which Activision does, can lock out more than one person using the same license at the same time.

You have to purchase a copy for each simultaneous player.

Thanks for your help but my brother in law is able to play online at the same time as his son. Could it be a set up issue on my console?

Also, my son and I can play online together on other games that I have bought.

Have Activision deliberately blocked this?

There's still people playing COD: The Big Red One on PS2 and that game is ancient. I play MW2 still on another profile that's shared and I will be playing Black Ops for some time to come.

Not everything is shareable. In-game content typically doesn't share, so you would need to purchase it on your account in order to have access to the content packs.
