    I preordered black ops Cold War before it came out. Randomly when I tried to launch the game it said “to play this you need to buy it”. I was able to play because of the trial, but after that I was able to launch the game, but was still prompted to buy the game to be able to play.

    Hello, are you still playing under a trial download? Make sure the trail version is deleted and you are actually playing from the full brought game download.

    Hello, As long as the 360 game is backwards compatible you will be able to play it through the One console. When you try to play the 360 backwards compatible game it will sign your system in the 360 servers and you'll be able to play that game.

    Sorry, I clicked the option "I have the same question" but not exactly what I have in mind. My question relates to options where there are Xbox 360 games available to play with Xbox Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. Do I have to own both Xbox 360 console and Xbox One console to buy and download the games for Xbox 360 that are available each month through Xbox Gold membership? I have access only to my Xbox One console now. I have also Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership just renewed. What does the backward compatibility mean regarding playing Xbox 360 games on Xbox One and how do I unlock the games to play on Xbox One, if needed?

    I pre-ordered the game on May 19, 2022. It was working with the “too early to play,” but now reads that I need to buy it. The order history reads as “declined,” even though it went through successfully.
