Game save won't transfer to another Xbox

I played Oblivion on my Xbox One. When I downloaded it to my other Xbox One (S), it acts like I've never played it before and I can only start a new game. But I want my progress saved across them both. What can I do? I was able to do it with Fallout 3
a few months ago. It would tell me that I last played on another console and I could choose if I wanted to sync my progress. But that option doesn't even appear when I launch Oblivion.

Hi Pumpurrnickel,

The simplest solution to try first is the following:

1. Remove your profile from the console

2. Power cycle/ reset your console

3. Add your profile and sign in.

If this doesn’t work, try a ‘soft’ reset of your console to factory defaults. Make sure to choose the Reset
and keep my games & apps and make sure any data is backed up.

Hopefully, this will help to force the game to fetch synced cloud saves when you load up The Outer Worlds.

Certain games are cross saved enabled, which means you can transfer the saved games from one device to another. Play anywhere is you can play the digital version of the game on any of the 2 devices. Some won't be able to transfer the saved games over.

Are you transferring the Xbox 360 saved versions of the game? Because if it's the Xbox one version it won't transfer over to the 360 side.
