Game save data gone (Forza 5)

I was playing my xbox one on 01/29/2016 turned it off and then a few hours later back on to play again, every game I booted had to "sync data" i went to play forza 5 after data synced and all game data was lost i still had my achievements but all in game
experience and credits where gone.... forza seems to be the only game effected by the problem as all other game saves are intact, it may be worth noting that i played Forza 5 from the start after the data was lost and the current save data loads every time
but i really dont want to start over

After an error code, save data got deleted from forza horizon 3

Hello,

yesterday i wanted to play some Forza Horizon 3 on my Xbox One but there was a error, which said that I have to delete my local data because the console could not synchronize my game data. After I did this I started the game and it synchronized my game data
but not succesfull because I hat to start from the beginning. So all my save data are gone (only from Forza Horizon 3). I contacted the support and they said I have to delete the local game data and reset my Xbox what I have done but the game data is still
gone. So the xbox support said that I have to contact this forum. How can restore my game data for Forza Horizon 3 ?

Had this myself with Forza 5.

Unfortunately your old save is gone.

For some reason there is sometimes an issue syncing data with all the Forza games.

It will get to 99% & then fail.If you try again it will eventually get to 100% but give you 2 save options,you need to pick the oldest save file.

Ah I see I didn't do the first sync myself my friend did...sigh...he won't be using it again....they need to have a way to restore save states to an earlier save... would help a lot cause my driver level was 170 something that's almost 2million xp and countless
hours in the paint shop gone....any way thank you

hi Sanana94 thanks for giving me a reply , what my problem is , a friend plays under the same gamertag [ my acct] he has always played off line as he has had no internet acess, now in the last week internet has become available at his adress and of course
his console thinks i have 2 consoles , he has gone online under my gamertag and this has caused my syncing to play up , i have lost completed game data for horizon 3 forza 5 , and 4 mths worth of gaming for forza 7 , forza 6 seems ok forza horizon 3 and forza
5 have gone back to the start of game screen and forza 7 is showing data from 4 mths ago i have not tried farcry 5 or other games yet to see if they have also lost data , is there anyway i can recoder data from the cloud that has gone missing ? it seems as
if his machine is over writing my cloud saves or something , very desperate as have lost yrs worth of playing , over 200 cars in forza alone . thank you any one who may be able to help me

I’ve gone through various possible solutions and workarounds. Resetting your saved account credentials on your device should resolve this error, and deleting your game data/starting a new save might not even be necessary.
