    Hi XBOX ONE S! Is there a way you can allow game play while updates are being downloaded? Example: My kids and I play ARK Survival Evolved, they have so many updates. Most of the time we can play for 1-2 days then an update comes in and due to our super slow internet, it is a week before we can play again. I don't want to shut off the internet, because we need the updates, but why can't we play while the update is downloading? Thanks!

    Hi, It only downloads system updates using instant on. Game downloads and dlc the require the console to be on until it's finished.

    It's just a thought. I played that game since classic until they just updated it. Some reason I can't download the windows client to play it.

    hasn't worked. Can't download profile as will not connect to XBOX live until the update is done.

    Cleared cache, no change.

    Tried USB update, doesn't do anything. Using FAT32 USB.

    The 15GB Halo Update can be downloaded while playing Campaign. Just set it downloading and load back in to game and off you go playing Campaign until the update downloads.

    Some games allow you to update and play at the same time, others don't similar to the PS4. It depends what the game is updating and whether it is critical files. For example if they need to update the exe file then you probably can't play and update but
    those updates are usually the smaller ones.
