So my live name can be changed? I haven’t been able to do that but I can for my display name. If I can’t change my live name and I truly can’t do anything to rid myself of this tiny imperfection in my account that I would be able to change literally anywhere else. I really just need to change the live name but it says it won’t let me. If I can’t unlink it then that would be my only course of action but how do I do it when I edit my profile it don’t give me the option to it’s says live: alex****** and I just don’t want ppl knowing my real name like that I just wanna change it

We can't unlink the Skype Profile from our Microsoft Account since they are the same.

Have you tried to change your name on the Skype Profile?

It should work.

If you want to, you can also change the account alias.

Log in to your account with your current primary alias.

On this page, you can add a new e-mail address and then select it as your primary by clicking on Make primary.

Your Skype Name cannot be changed, but you can change your Skype display name.
