    Game pricing


    So, I just joined the Microsoft ecosystem with a XB1X after being with Sony since the PS1 & I've noticed the prices on your games are high.

    I'm a racing fan & I'm looking to buy Project Cars GOTYE or Project Cars 2 but there is no incentive to buy from your store as I can purchase them alot cheaper from the high st.

    Example:

    Project Cars GOTYE.

    High St = £14.99

    PSN Store = £11.99

    Xbox Store = £39.99

    Project Cars 2.

    High St = £24.99

    PSN Store = £49.99

    Xbox Store = £49.99

    As you can see there's a issue here, you want people to buy direct from you but when we can get it 50% cheaper elsewhere then there's really no need.

    Hope this can be adjusted accordingly in the future.

    There's also the issue of bloated budgets in videogames. Even if you cut manufacturing costs, the expenses are simply too large and, well, they have to recoup the money somehow. That's assuming we're talking triple A games here.

    The prices are largely done by the publishers, not Microsoft, who tend to keep them at or close to MSRP as long as possible.

    you should wait for gold discount or sale drops, most of the time you can get games at decent prices

    Hey there,

    Thanks for posting. I definitely understand the concern, however both discounts are 50% off the base game price. For this specific title, the base price of the game is determined by the publisher of the game, and not Microsoft. Prices definitely can vary
    by region, and for 3rd party titles that is up to the publisher of the game to set.

    I hope this helps clear up the concern.
