    Game play constantly jerky/choppy


    I play a few games then boom every match after that is choppy/jerky. Not once in while during a match but during the whole match. I back out and even shut down the system but still choppy untill I start playing another day. Anyone else having this problem?

    Lots of threads on here mentioning connection speed/lag issues in Multiplayer. Look around you'll fin 'em.

    Ok, I tried putting the TV in game mode, no difference.

    I think the GFX chip is prob overheading

    What else can I try?

    Film mode is disabled when Xbox is on

    My TV is 200hz 3D TV but previously has never had any problems.

    The AV channel is working at 60Hz so I do not think this is an issue.

    Would film mode make a difference?

    The thing is I think its the Xbox causing the choppiness. Like its trying to process everything.

    Its really off putting in a racing game :(

    Does your tv have some kind of motion blur mode. Something like a 200hz mode or similar?

    My tv has something called tru motion 200hz. I get missing frames and jerkiness when this mode is active.

    If your tv has something similar it might be worth turning it off to see if the issue still occurs.

    Just tried to play a DVD (Back To The Future 2) and the video was jerking again.

    So I switched it off and played the DVD again with the Xbox in the verticle position and the same problem
