Game pin stuck on home screen

Dying light is stuck on my home screen. Its not even jnstalled. Hitting the menu button on it gives no option but a question mark and says install disc. Have unplugged and rebooted. Have loaded 5 other games. Just stays there in the last position on
list and on the screen. Help me get rid of this.

Achievement Pin cannot be canceled.

My other account can pin and unpin any apps from the home screen, is my main account stuck or what? Very strange...

last update

after the last update all the pins on my home screen has been erased and now cant add them back. i go to the app or game and click on the option to pin to home screen but nothing happens.

Thanks for posting on the forums today! I'd be happy to help.

When you rebooted your Xbox did you hard reset it? You need to hold down the power button on your Xbox for about 10 seconds until it shuts down, and from there unplug your Xbox power cord from the back and from the wall outlet.

If that doesn't help the, operating system may be displaying a glitch and would need to be factory reset. A

soft factory reset is what would be performed as it does not delete your content.
However, before you do a factory reset you would need to make sure you know the login email and password for the account as it will remove the accounts from the Xbox and you will need to re-download them.

Pins allow you to quickly find the apps and experiences that you use the most. Think of a pin as a bookmark. You can pin your favorite game, app, or webpage to your Home screen for quick access.

Have you tried pinning the game to your home screen? If you haven't done so, that should keep the game showing on your home screen even if you're not playing it.

Did you pin it to your home screen? If so, pre-loading and pinning the game will cause what you describe to happen.

Un-pin the game, then find the basic game in the Store (even if you bought the deluxe version find the basic version) and select PLAY (don't try pinning it again yet) and see if the game loads.
