im new to xbox and unfamiliar with the memberships. what does the regular game pass do for me? what does the gold pass do for me?

Cause the Xbox Live Gold membership it allows you to play in multiplayer games, also it gives you the opprtunities to have 4 free games each month (2 Xbox One and 2 Xbox 360), choosed from MS!

Then the Xbox Game Pass it allows you to play over 100 games for free... these games are choosed from MS and they can be changed by time! And if you want to purchase one of these games you will have a 10% discount on it.

Gold subscription is required to play online multiplayer and chat with your friends online you also get 2 free xbox one games and 2 free xbox 360 games a month (these are games that Microsoft picks).

Game pass- you can think of as a Netflix type subscription that gives you a (vault) of over 100 games that you can download and play as long as you have the subscription if you cancel the subscription you would lose access to being able to play those games
unless you buy them.
