Game Pass Ultimate Sub broke my Family Live Gold Pass access

Live Gold: This is needed for Multiplayer games (that aren't free to play). However, only Ultimate Game Pass includes Live Gold..standard Game Pass doesn't include it. If you need Gold, then get Ultimate...normal Game Pass and a separate Live Gold sub would cost £15 a month (UK pounds, no clue on your local currency)....Ultimate (which includes both) is £10.99 a month

Games: If the game is on Game Pass, then it will be free to play it for as long as you have a Game Pass subscription. However, games sometimes leave Game Pass and would then become unavailable

However, Game Pass also gives you a discount for any Game Pass games that you then decide to buy.

Game Pass Ultimate also gives you access to PC Game Pass if you ever want to play games on a PC as well

What happens to my prepaid months of Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass when I sign up for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?

When you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, we’ll apply any prepaid time you have on Xbox Live Gold and/or Xbox Game Pass toward the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate plan, up to a maximum of 36 months. Prepaid time conversion rates are subject to change.

TXbox Ultimate Game Pass 1-month sub is $1 on XBL, includes Game Pass for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Live Gold. Purchasing the $1 plan will upgrade your existing Xbox Live Gold/Game Pass memberships to Ultimate and combines both subscription months as Ultimate

I can't put my finger on the conversion rate data, at the moment, but it's approximately 3:1 Gold to Xbox Ultimate, if I recall correctly.

I upgraded to the Ultimate pass myself and the family still has access to my Gold and Game Pass games on the home console so you should still be good to go.

Game pass ultimate includes both game pass and gold. So, if you subscribe to ultimate your gold sub will be converted to ultimate. Once the subscription is over, you'll have to decide if you want to resubscribe to ultimate or to gold and game pass separately.

Let's try to clarify a little since there is no Game Pass Gold sub. On XBOX you can have Game Pass and/or Xbox Live Gold which provide different benefits but are not the same thing
(and are of course eventually included in the
Game Pass Ultimate).

Game Pass sub gets you access to the Game Pass library of games as long as you are subscribed.

Xbox Live Gold enables most multiplayer functionalities and gets you 4 free titles each month (2 for 360 that are yours to keep
available also on the One thanks to retrocompatibility and 2 for the One that can be played as long as you have an active gold sub). You actually have to redeem those games while your sub is active, which means you cannot get later games that were offered
while you had no active subs.

That being said, which is the sub you currently have and which games are giving you troubles?

If you have only gold, then you should be able to play only games coming from the gold free titles that you eventually redeemed while you had the ultimate active plus the ones currently available. If you have the Game Pass
instead, you should be able to get the games from its catalogue.
