Game Pass Ultimate sharing across two xboxs in same house

We have two Xbox systems:

Basement Xbox One

Living Room Xbox One S

The living room Xbox used to be the Home Xbox. With Family Gold, family members could play online, multi-player games and chat with friends in the basement, while the wife and I watched Netflix in the living room.

After converting to Game Pass Ultimate, family members were no longer able to play multi-player online games in the basement, so I switched it to be the Home Xbox. But multi-player online gaming still does not work for family members if I log into the other
Xbox with my adult profile.

Can child family members access Game Pass Ultimate, including multi-player, on one Xbox if the main Adult profile is logged onto another Xbox on the same family account?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "login with the account where you have the GPU."

If I log into the Home Xbox, gaming works as expected. When I log into the other Xbox to watch Netflix, it stops working for family members still on the Home Xbox.

Hello welcome to the forums!

You can use your membership on the two consoles.

On your home console (living room) everyone can play the Xbox Game Pass Titles.

On your second Console only you can play the Xbox Game Pass Titles, but you need to be connected to Xbox Live.

If is same network, you can make login with the account where you have the GPU I Think with you can

I had xbox gold, upgraded to ultimate. Just bought a second xbox. Can I enjoy the total ultimate package on both xbox consoles.Would like to use the gold and game pass on both consoles in the same house

Let me try and explain how it should work.

1. No matter what console a profile is signed into it will always be able to play its games and use any of its subscriptions (gold, game pass, ea access)

2. Each profile can set ONE console at a time as its home console and any other profile on that console then can use any of that profiles subscriptions.

You can change what console you have set as your home console only FIVE times a year.

With that being said in your case how things should work.

If you have the subscriptions on your profile you would want to make the basement console your profiles home console then any other profile on that console should be able to play your digital games (including the games downloaded through the game pass) and
play multiplayer games. Even if you are using your account on the console upstairs.

The only reason that it would not be working when you sign in is if you were signed in on the console in the basement AND that console was not set as your profiles home console.

So you would first want to make sure that console is set as the home console for the profile that has the subscriptions.

It does not matter if the other profiles are in your family and it does not matter if the console is on the same network as long as the console is set as your profiles home console then any other profile should be able to use your profiles subscriptions.
