Game Pass Ultimate Redemption Code Not Valid - What Now?

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate redemption code, but when I try to redeem it, I'm getting a message that the code is not valid. I've double-checked the code for any typos, but everything seems correct.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? What steps should I take to resolve this? Do I need to contact Microsoft support, or is there a way to fix this on my own? I'd appreciate any insights or advice from the community.

From what I Understand you don't get a Code a Claim Now Tile should appear on the Dashboard/Home Screen with the Offers Available for you.

Dashboard/Homescreen of what? Xbox? The Ultimate pass is meant for Both PC and Xbox and why you need Xbox for redemption?? It doesn't make sense, nor does it mention while purchasing the pass.

The benefit extended to the general public is the same that was offered during the Insider preview, in that existing Gold and Game Pass subscriptions were converted 1:1 when upgrading to Game Pass Ultimate. Redemptions of prepaid Gold and Game Pass standard
codes after the account already has ultimate is also the same, with a reduced ration shown in the FAQ.

It now depends what you actually bought and what type of subscription you have.

You say you have the Game Pass Ultimate subscription, but above you said you have bought a 1 year Xbox Live Code.

Since Game Pass Ultimate is more expensive, a "normal" Xbox Live Gold card won't give you the full year for your Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

For a 1 year Xbox Live Gold prepaid card you "only" get 4 months of Game Pass Ultimate.

Yeah, if you add a Gold or Game Pass code while you have Ultimate, it will convert to Ultimate since Ultimate already includes those. It warns you of this when you redeem the code so you can cancel before completing the redemption. In order to use the
full subscription, you either have to cancel your Ultimate or wait until the current subscription runs out before adding the new code.
