Game pass ultimate family member cannot access games

My son was able to access his games this morning, but now we've gone to play something together he cannot. It only gives him the option to buy the game, it's like the subscription isn't registering. It has been working fine for months and now all of a sudden.... won't. I would like to get some support regarding this please. We've rebooted, signed out and back in etc, all to no avail. What is going on please?

Thanks for your reply. They are both linked into my Microsoft account as family members. However, I cannot see where on my game pass ultimate subscription, where I can add a family member.

I apologize for any frustration this may have caused. The reason why the Ultimate Game Pass cannot be shared with family on PC is because it is designed to be a single-user subscription. However, you can create a family group and add family members to it, and then purchase separate Game Pass subscriptions for each family member. This will allow each family member to have their own Game Pass subscription and access to the games on their own devices. I hope this helps!

However that is limited to perks and seperate PCs

You can sign in with the subscribed accounrlt in the xbox store and download said games but cloud is a subscriber perk only

The friends and family test.plan has been paused for now with a "possible" future release

Home.console.is only a console.feature

It looks like my wife actually paid his subscription (there's a good chance she told me at some point and I forgot!). My understanding is that right now, game pass ultimate CANNOT be shared with family members (in Australia anyway). Can someone please confirm is this is correct?

As per Smwutches given information through the post last December 7, currently non-Ultimate family plan in Australia but instead games/Gold subscription can be shared using the Home setting How home Xbox and game sharing work | Xbox Support.
