Game Pass ultimate automatically refunded.

I bought an Xbox All Access bundle and set it up earlier today. The console initiated me to set up Game Pass ultimate as well which I did. Everything was working fine and I was able to download Forza 5 on Game Pass but About an hour later, I received an email saying that the Game Pass ultimate was refunded. I did not ask a refund. I chatted with Xbox support and they pointed me to Best Buy and Citizen One. I called both and they said it is an issue with microsoft and that my account is good with Citizen One. Has anybody experienced this? I feel rip offed. It's frustrating because this is almost 900$!!

You would have had to request a refund before purchasing Ultimate. The Game Pass you originally purchased would have been cancelled and upgraded to Ultimate in addition to the Ultimate you purchased.

If it were cancelled automatically once upgraded, should I not then receive a refund automatically?

When you purchased the Game Pass Ultimate subscription, your Xbox Live Gold was converted to Game Pass Ultimate, Before making this conversion, the system asked you if you wanted it and informed you that it could not be reversed, To finish the purchase you had to accept the conversion, this causes that if you refund or cancel Game Pass Ultimate, you also lose the time that was converted from Xbox Live Gold

Hello webby87, Sorry about what's going on, it's really weird that you get this information by support because only they have access to your account and can check what went wrong.

My suggestion is that you contact Support again via chat but ask to be transferred to the specialist department (advocate) to see if they can help you with your problem.

Hello Jackdemarchi, unfortunately it is not possible to downgrade, with Ultimate you have full Xbox services and access to XCloud.

If you only want to have the Game Pass for PC, you would have two ways in your situation, the first would be to cancel the Ultimate your own, and subscribe only to the Game Pass for PC, but that does not guarantee you the refund of the Ultimate subscription, and the other way is to turn off the automatic renewal of the Ultimate subscription, wait for it to close and then buy a Game Pass for PC.
