    I read about this deal here:

    Is this still available? I can find no mention of it on Microsoft website.

    Apparently, if you buy 3 years of Gold, then purchase the promo of Game Pass Ultimate for 1 dollar, you get Ultimate free for 3 years.

    Does this work in Europe?

    Does it work if I buy gold membership from 3rd party like CD keys (surely it should make no difference)?

    Yes, even buying from a 3rd Party Xbox Live is well Xbox Live. Just make sure that you have a total of 36 months if that is what you are trying to get it at.

    It does actually mention in during the purchase of the Gamepass Ultimate and that it will do it up to the total of 36 mths.

    Just remember do your Gold Live first and then buy the Ultimate.
