Game Pass subscription active but can't access Cloud Gaming feature

Hello everyone,

I'm currently experiencing an issue with my Game Pass subscription. While it shows that my subscription is active, I'm unable to access the Cloud Gaming feature. Every time I try, I receive a message saying that I'm not eligible for this service, even though my account details seem up to date.

I've ensured that my device meets all necessary requirements, and I've also tried logging in and out of my account. I've restarted my device a few times, hoping that might solve the problem, but nothing changed.

Is there anyone else who has faced this issue? Any advice on resolving this would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that your are having issues playing on Xbox Cloud Gaming. Please note that this requires Game Pass Ultimate.

As part of our isolation, let's check if your subscription shows active on your Microsoft profile, please login to this link using the same Microsoft profile that you use in your console: https://account.microsoft.com/services

Once confirmed that you have an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, please completely logout from your Xbox App and log back in to resync your profile.

Sharing only gives you access to some features (ie. online multiplayer and the games from Game Pass). Only the account that purchases the subscription will have access to everything including cloud gaming.

Hi Aaron, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that the cloud gaming feature is available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users only. The subscription needs to be active on your son's account in order for him to have an option to use the cloud gaming feature it can't be shared.

Do you currently have an active Game Pass subscription? If you're trying to access online features on owned games, some of them may need an active subscription.

As ngocphi has pointed out, you can't download X/S games to an Xbox One console. The account with the actual Game Pass Ultimate subscription can play these games via the cloud but cloud gaming is not sharable. It is a feature only available to the account with the subscription. A second account on the "Home" Xbox One will not be able to play any X/S games through the cloud unless they actually purchase Game Pass Ultimate.
