    Hi,

    So as the title says I had a powercut whilst playing a game on game pass on pc. I turned my pc on the next day, and upon logging in, my whole desktop was flashing white, and I couldnt click anything. I thought my Pc was fried or something. I could still bring up the task manager though.

    Eventually after like 30 mins it just stopped and my pc was fine, but if I reset my pc again, the same thing would happen.

    I had a look online and saw people had this issue but relating it to the xbox app. So I followed some videos and stuff and tried disabling some services.

    The one that seems to cause it is the storage services. If I disable this on startup, my PC works fine and I can load anything except for xbox app games, they just bring up an error.

    I tried reinstalling the app, running powershell commands, signing in and out, uninstalling all my games, updating windows and my graphics drivers to latest, but still cant get it to work

    If I uninstall the xbox app and restart, my PC will load fine. so Im pretty sure thats the problem

    Very frustrating though as not only can I not play any games, but it also causes my PC to be unusable if the xbox app is installed

    It started working somehow, not long after I posted this. Not sure what I did that fixed it, but it was straight after I followed another post on here where I renamed my wpsystem to wpsystem.old, and tried to download a game. this didnt change anything until I changed it back, and the game started downloading again.

    Do have to redownload my games now though which sucks

    I did also change my new apps folder on storage settings to default to where I wanted my games. But I'm pretty sure it was downloading before I did this.

    Wish I could be more helpful to others who might have this problem, but it just started working randomly

    I do seem to have issues logging in still though. this error popped up 5 times before I got in , but once in my games do work

    and for some reason all my microsoft apps icons are missing which has been this way for a while now. Im on latest windows 10 update too

    Hi there fidrik welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. A friend of mine had this issue. I could tell you all the troubleshooting he tried just to solve it, unfortunately what helped him to solved this was to restart his PC as it comes here:

    In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

    Be aware that, whilst game Pass Ultimate allows you to play Game Pass games on both console and PC, not all games are available on both platforms...some Game Pass games are only on PC, some are only for console.

    Yes I know that. But If I am on "PC" and play Conan through game pass am I with PC players or Xbox?
    You would be on with PC players given it's not cross-play. Whilst Game Pass does cover both PC and Xbox, you would only be on with those on similar versions so PC-to-PC, Xbox-to-Xbox etc
