Game Pass on PC: Tropico 6 save file location?

That folder literally doesn't exist on my computer.

C:\Users\NAME\Saved Games exists, but there is no folder inside corresponding to Tropico 6.

I know it must be making a local save somewhere, because I can save and reload while offline, but yeah, I was worried it might be something like this, with the save data just being stored in some obfuscated way instead of just a regular old save file.

Nevertheless, I still would have thought it to be accessible somehow, but in the registry? Wow, absolutely bananas. I didn't know that was a thing.

The reason I'm even asking any of this at all is because the game updated yesterday (Sept 6) and somehow annihilated all my save progress. Rather than play through all the missions again to get where I was, I wanted to use a save file with all the missions unlocked so I could carry on where I left off. But of course, that requires me to know where the save data should go. I'll keep poking at this, but thanks for letting me know that some games store their save info in the registry, which, if that's the case for Tropico 6, I think scuttles my efforts to use this other save file.

Well, okay, so it blocks access. Fine. But where are the files? I can find all the games files, executables, data, etc. but not these saves. I'm just baffled about where they are.

This folder exists on my OneDrive tree, but it is empty. To reiterate, I can view hidden files on my computer, I am admin on my computer, I have full access/modify privileges on my C drive.

Some of the Game Pass version of these games have been modified by the developer to change the location of the save game. Some PC game pass titles don't even have a local save at all.

Yes, I know it's a crazy system which no other PC distributer uses, and I'm a PC gamer myself. I like the fact the games are their as part of the service, but the implementation needs much improvement. Which is why, unless something is insanely cheap on the store, I usually buy my games from Steam.
