Game Pass game won’t stop downloading automatically after continuously failing.

I downloaded Rocket league once off game pass. I noticed day after day that the game was failing to download via notifications saying installation stopped.

I have tried to cancel, and even uninstall it many times. It just keeps trying to downlod.

i have an external hdd to default install. When i turn it off, same problem still happens with internal.

The game always reappears in the update queue. Nothing i do solves this problem including trying to uninstall failed download again, then trying to reinstall from the store which fails too.

Help would be appreciate please.

You know you can transfer your games through your home network and it won’t matter how many people are downloading games.

Hi Parramaniac,

Sorry you are having issues. I would recommend trying to reset your console to factory defaults keeping
your games and apps.

Side Note: It is very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing it from the console.
As well as having secure network connection.

To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey;in middle column at the top it will say "show on home"
if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it will show in this box.

Yes, I believe it would continue installing without an active subscription (both gold and/or game pass).

To install game pass games initially or play them, obviously you would need to have an active game pass subscription. Although to continue installing a game, you started downloading, you won’t need a subscription. You can even install games and apps signed
out or signed in on another profile.

That happened probably because the transfer stopped for some reason.

In all games and apps when you cancel or the transfer fails, automatically the game uninstalls.

If you now download all the game again, it will come with the update included.

I also purchased the War Games map pass recently and continue failing to finish the downloads while posting this. The same error message with 80153003 pops up after 99% download is reached. The withdrawal of money from my bank account for purchase was completed
however. A fix/update would be appreciated.
