Game pass for PC, some games are crashing

CHECK END OF THE POST FOR UPDATES ON SITUATION

I was playing Forza Horizon 4 yesterday, and it was perfectly running, then I decied to play it with my "poor" controller, it did not recognize it, then I decided to use x360ce as I use it to play Dark Souls etc., to do so, I had to copy x360ce in the same
folder as ForzaHorizon4.exe, so I tried to change WindowsApps folder permissions and changed the ownership of it, then I tried to change the permissions and ownership of Forza's folder. Even if I got full permissions it didn't let me copy x360ce to the folder
so I just gave up and decided to continue playing with my keyboard. I opened Xbox app and tried to launch the game, it did not start. Only a second of splash screen then it's closed. Then I thought I broke the entire Xbox games I downloaded, and tried to run
something else, I could run few of my games, and couldn't run others.

Games I cannot run;

Cities: Skylines

Sea of Thieves

Frostpunk

Forza Horizon 4

Games I can run;

Death's Gambit

West of Dead

FTL: Faster than Light

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator

As I observed, games occupy more than 8GB storage don't run at all, other games run OK.

What I tried;

I tried to Run troubleshooter for Windows Store apps and it completed with an error; "hanging or crashing apps", couldn't figure out what to do next. If I reset an app, it just disappears from Xbox Game Pass list and I am forced to reinstall it, I tried
this with Frostpunk. I don't want to install hundreds of Gigabytes again, I have very slow internet connection.

I tried to uninstall Xbox and reinstall it, didn't fixed anything, still those games crash at splash screen.

I tried to give ownership of WindowsApps folder back to "TrustedInstaller", didn't fix anything.

I tried to implement solution given here, did not fix anything.

I tried to download a new game to check if it will fix anything, "Blazing Chrome" was downloaded, runs perfectly, but didn't help other games to run.

I can't figure out how to fix this problem WITHOUT needing to download all the games again.

I can NOT install Windows again or reset it. I have too many important files on my computer.

UPDATE: I had Minecraft installed from Microsoft Store, It also did not start, problem doesn't seem to have anything to do with game size.

UPDATE 2: Reinstalling Minecraft solved the issue for it but I lost all my worlds, and I can't reinstall Forza Horizon 4 or Sea of Thieves because It took me for about 40 hours to download each.

Welp, I cannot even reset my computer now. It is blocked. And I can not reload other games, I cannot login to Xbox app or anything. Everything just got messed up.

HERE IS A WORKING SOLUTION TO Metro Exodus crashing in XBOX Game pass for PC. This worked for me 100% each time the game crashed, and after trying to uninstall it I got stuck with unplayable game, unremovable game files. I went through points 1-5. I managed
to beat the game after several crashes and remove it recovering 60 GB disk space

.

So if anyone has issues with Metro Exodus crashing on PC/XBOX GAME PASS and is unable to sucessfully uninstall the game and free the disk space do this:

Uninstall XBOX Game Pass for PC APP
go to your Windows 10 Update Menu and Press Update
restart Windows
Install Xbox game pass App again
Open Xbox game pass App and Press Install Metro Exodus (it will not take long because the game is already there, just a tiny part of it will be brought back).

This way the game should be playable again or , if you wish you may NOW finally unistall it and free your disk space.

This will not stop the ME from crashing but will make it playable und uninstallable

The tricky part is that when the game crashes and we want to uninstall it, some part of the Windows update is removed with it but not the game so the disk space cannot be freed nor game started untill you do the points 1-5 and get your Windows updated again.

This problem has been known for a few weeks now but no patch from XBOX so far.

Game Pass for PC is pretty much on a par with Game Pass for console. Yeah, some games will be different, as some games for PC are not available for console, and vice versa.

Game Pass is primarily for the console. It's just a bonus that some of the games work for the PC. There is no Game Pass for the PC>

We understand that you are having issues with Forza Horizon 5, and it keeps on crashing in startup. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

If you already bought the game where you do not need Xbox Game Pass subscription to access the game title, then this game should be playable. We found out that the crash is listed among the known issues from the game support of Forza Horizon 5:

Crashes

Crash - Crashes during free roam, tuning cars, applying upgrades due to memory issue causing loss of tunes, cars, or upgrades
Crash - Game may crash on launch for some players. Please see support article "My Game is Not Launching or is Crashing on PC"
Crash - Game may crash with the error message "The memory could not be read" (Date Updated: 10.04.22)
Crash - PC - Some players are crashing on launch with no error message at startup after series 14 update (Date Updated: 11.22.22)

If you notice, you will see some players were getting this issue. So, we recommend you to first perform this troubleshooting the game support suggested - "My Game is Not Launching or is Crashing on PC" then if issue persist, you might be of need to contact the game support for assistance.
