Game pass for PC save location

The Xbox (beta) app can be downloaded on your PC without being an insider.

Is this some weird UWP thing where our save files from other sources are now useless?

I can see there's been a folder created at "C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\Packages\DeepSilver.ProjectWindfall_hmv7qcest37me" but I can't see any files in any of its folders resembling a save directory or a config file.

Where has all of Microsoft's rhetoric about encouraging the open nature of the PC Market gone? This is an awful experience. I don't want to have to start a new game.

I know hwete my current game saves are but metro exodus for xbox game pass on windows doesnt seem to have a folder for game saves, not that i can find anyway.

Yup, having exactly the same issue. Managed to find the game files in the appdata folder, and also tried searching for the saves in the user/AppData folder, but no luck.

Would really love to continue playing on the Xbox app (and get rid of Epic games), but sadly, the ability to not copy the save files is messing with this

I can't find the save files either, I want to migrate my saves from my Epic "Metro Exodus" purchase to my microsoft file. But like you guys I can't locate any files for the game. The resolution in the game for metro on the Xbox (beta) app is also weird and
broken.

Microsoft, please help out on these issues.
