Game pass expiry won’t allow me to play owned digital copy of game

I am currently unable to play minecraft on my Xbox because it states my game pass has expired. I own the game digitally and it states on the Microsoft store that I own it. My game pass expired in 2020 and I’ve played minecraft all the time since 2020. I have Xbox live gold also.

I’ve tried uninstalling and also tried uninstalling, restarting my Xbox, and then reinstalling but it always says my game pass expired. Not sure why this is happening as the store says I own it and haven’t had game pass in 3 years.

Any help would be greatly appreciated if there’s a way to fix this

Yeah not sure why reinstalling isn’t fixing this problem

Games are flagged with gamepass, a reinstallation usually clears it up

It won’t let me click on the reset option or even use the restart option for anything. It will only allow me to uninstall the games directly. The game is the digital copy purchased from the Xbox store on the Xbox series x.

Hello, Gigi. Are you perhaps playing MSFS via game pass or do you own the digital copy?

That's because your games do not run off your disc.

Not even the ones you only own on disc.

You use the disc to install the game digitally to the Hard Drive of your XBox ONE.

Then because it's a disc copy that acts as your Digital Rights Management and allows you to play the game that is installed on your Hard Drive..

When you own the game digitally only this DRM allows access without the disc.
