Game Pass Error Code 0x80070005 when downloads of new games finish. Help trouble shooting.

Last week, I downloaded two games that had yet to release, FM 22 and Forza 5. An error message 0x80070005 appeared for those games. I didn't think anything of it at the time, thinking it was related to the fact that those games were not released yet. However, now every new game I try to install gets to 100% then gives me this error code. Unless the game is already downloaded, I don't have access to it.

I have went through numerous trouble shooting methods, literally several hours, but nothing has worked. Installed every update, tried a YouTube vid that walked me through numerous methods, been on the phone with xbox support for over an hour yesterday. I even went ahead an reset my computer, but it didn't even help. Someone tell me there is a simple fix I'm missed (not the privacy sign-in options method is settings cause I've tried it).

Hi there Avallon welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I had this issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

Hmmm some users have reported this issue with the EA app, have you tried unlinking and linking your EA account?

I'm having the same issue. It's a bit of a joke since so much time has been wasted redownloading content, having it then dissapear after simply closing the app. It feels like the xbox app for PC is years behind other providers.

With no easy access to the folders containing the games, and no way to prompt the software to look for the game files, this issue is perpatuated by the apps bad design.

This issue has also been around and unfixed for a while, made evident from old forum posts. It gives the impression that the development team behind it either dont care enough to properly fix it, or dont have the knowledge to do so.

Yikes! Well, if you catch a suggestion, please let me know. I'm gonna keep looking for one until my subscription comes up in a week or so. If not, there simply isn't a point to have Game Pass for me at the moment.

I'll try to return and post a solution if I find anything that works.

I did! Unfortunately, it still didn't fix the issue. Now, I don't even have my old games downloaded, which were playing just fine. The only games I can play now are through the EA app.
