Game Pass completely not functioning

I have been trying to install games on Game Pass for the last day - the moment I press the install button it tells me the install has failed "Error 0%" - then if I look at the information about the "Error Details" it says the error code is "0x00000001" which doesn't exist on the error code list.

Then I tried playing a game I had already installed and it says "This App cant open"

I have tried to initiate a Virtual Agent call with Microsoft but they are not working either. All I get is "Something went wrong on our end. We’re working on it."

I have an internet connection, I have restarted the computer many times. I have reinstalled the GamePass/X-box app.

Any ideas would be REALLY appreciated.

Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly try to uninstall and reinstall the Gaming service by following the steps below:

1. In the Windows search bar, type Windows PowerShell

2. In the menu, select "Run as administrator"

3. In the Administrator: Windows PowerShell screen, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

4. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

5. Click Install** to install Gaming Services (select Yes if you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt)

6. Restart your device.

If that didn't work, make sure that your Windows OS is up to date by following the steps below:

Settings > Updates & Security > Check for Updates.

Playing a game on game pass is the same as owning it as far as functionality is concerned. Game saves remain

any mode that requires online functionality requires game pass Core or ultimate

Since the Game Pass app for PC is currently in Beta state, a lot of the features that are available are not completely functioning as intended.

So reporting these inconsistencies provides the engineers invaluable information that will allow them to address this matter in a most hasty manner.

I'm sorry for any confusion or turmoil this might have incited.
