    Game Pass can't login + Korea age verification error


    Hello,

    First I opened game pass after purchasing a subscription and couldnt see the play button on anything. Then i could see the play button but i couldnt connect to any game servers.

    So i reinstalled both game pass apps and restarted my tablet.

    Now i cant login to microsoft on the apps because it wont verify my age. Ive tried progably twenty times in the last 3 hours. Ive tried all the age verification links i could find in other support posts and one looked like it was going to work... then it got halfway through verifying and auto logged me out. That happened 3 times in a row. I made my account in Australia and I have changed all of the account and app settings regarding region and location to Korea already as I live here.

    Does any one know what i can do? I cant even contact support, thats a whole other impossible issue. I get an error every time i try to request a call back.

    I am a gamer and independent advisor on the XBOX community platform.

    Hey LuckyLlama, how are you today? Hope you're well.

    First, as for your age and privacy settings of your account:

    Is your account 18+?

    If not:

    Try changing it this way.

    Go to the top right corner, click on your avatar

    click on my microsoft account

    Click on "Your Information" on the top tab

    go on the date of birth

    Change to a date that matches age 18+.

    Once this is done, log out your microsoft account from all open browser sites,

    wait 20 minutes for the updates to take effect on the server, then click the link below.

    Look for the Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab

    And change the settings "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live", "You can create and join clubs", and "You can join multiplayer games" to Allow.

    Once all that is done, wait another 20 minutes to update the changed settings and that's it. :)

    As for the app, there are a few things we could try:

    So, let's try this, first, make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

    Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

    Click Check for Updates;

    Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

    Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services.

    Then try this:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    Then do the same for the Xbox app:

    Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

    After that, click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

    Then, try to uninstall and install the Xbox app. :)

    If it still doesn't work you're going to uninstall the games services using a powershell command.

    In the windows search bar type Powershell > Right click and select open as administrator > Type the command: "get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-Appxpackage –allusers" > Wait for the process to finish and then restart the PC, then open your Xbox gamepass app, it will ask you to install the gaming services again, install it and try again.

    Then, after you do it, you're going to open the game pass app, it will ask you to download and install the game services again

    If neither of those procedures works, try to restore your PC's OS via the ISO image tool, using that tool you will be able to maintain your installed games and files.
