Game pass app for PC wont install

You need to install the Game Pass for PC app to install games from Game Pass on your PC.

When I try to download from microsoft Store, the download never starts. From Xbox.com, I can download the app but the installation never finish, it stalls in the middle...

I get error (0X80080005) when trying to install the app after a few minutes...

Also I'm able to install the app on my laptop without any problems

Method 1: Troubleshoot issues with the Xbox App for Windows

Method 2:

Ensure the Xbox app and Microsoft Store have the same credentials.

Install or update related to Xbox apps from Microsoft Store:

Method 3: Run system scans

Run a full system scan. This will check and restore corrupted system files.



In Windows search bar, search for Command Prompt and Run as Administrator.

Copy the command below one line at a time and paste it on Command Prompt:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

SFC /scannow

Try to launch Xbox app and see if you can install games again.
