Game Partially Downloaded, Can't Free Up Space

Decided to give GamePass a shot to play Sea of Thieves with some friends. Paid the subscription, launched this app, started the download and let it run overnight since I'm on a slow connection.

When I booted it up today, it's not installed, but it seems to be occupying space on my SSD because I don't have enough room available when I try to install again, so it has to have been partially downloaded and I have no clue where it went, and I don't have
anymore room on my SSD to install it again without removing it first.

Help?

Hopefully I'm not gonna have to reformat the system. That creates a mountain of work for me.

Hello Mesanoe,

Even though the game is taking space on the SSD it still needs to finish downloading from what I got with your message you need to uninstall a game to free up space for the rest of the game to download.

Your drive is most likely too full to download the whole thing. Try to uninstall something youre not using and then reinstall.

UPDATE:

Now, I am able to redownload the game again completely, but today now the Xbox Beta App won't even open. I've restarted several times, and Windows 10 is completely up to date.

Every time I have an issue and solve it, another one just crops up right after it. I have very little faith that this game will even play once the app opens. Now since I've deleted the WindowsApps folder to free up space from an unplayable game, now it's
throwing errors all over anything with Windows services.

The Windows Store won't even open now without throwing an error about "PurgeCaches," and now I can't find anything to fix this issue.

So, now I've probably painted myself into a corner where I have to now back up everything on my system, reinstall Windows and create a huge ordeal out of this weekend instead of relaxing with a game.

Thanks Microsoft! I'll be canceling shortly. I don't care if it's a beta. If it's this bad, don't charge for it.

You can only download games when you have enough space to download them, you can't partially download games if you don't have enough space. Not to worry though, as when you buy a game or additional content on Xbox Live - whether it be directly from the
store or with a redeemable code - the content is connected to your account. So, you can download it again any time you like free of charge. This applies to Xbox One and Xbox 360.

The same problem here, i cleared my cache, no result. I deleted the partially downloaded games and started all over again and same thing happend. I've got enough free space on my harddrive: more than 100 gb free. Any help?
