game not working on the backward compatibility for Xbox one.

hello, the Backward Compatibility for Xbox one has managed to stop a game that i downloaded for the Xbox one console i have. the game was Halo Reach game for 360 and it worked for two days until i had to change my pass word for my Microsoft account and then
it stopped working but at the time i did not relies that my Xbox live -gold had run out and i was wondering if i need to pay another £20.00 or so for a copy of the game when i already have a copy it. it says i can play but once in it the goes back too the
reload page and does not play. i also spent £6.79 for a add on map thinking that it might work but again it did not work and i would love to know how to get it to work as i have spent this money on it all. by the way i have up dated my Xbox live Membership
for a year and so that can not be the problem now. why is it not playing, please give some advice. thank you.

backwards compatibility of xbox 360 games on xbox one on disc

I got loads of xbox 360 games on cd rom disc and they are not working for backwards compatibility even though these games are on the official list of backwards compatible games. What is wrong? I read online that xbox 360 games on disc are also supposed
to be backwards compatible with xbox one.

Only games on the backwards compatibility list will play on the One. That game is not listed.

You shouldn't need to buy another copy of the game if you already have done so. Was this a digital copy of the game you purchased on the console? If so, the first thing you'll want to check is to make sure the purchase is tied to your account. You can do
that by visiting commerce.microsoft.com and checking in the purchase history.

If you're not seeing the game in the purchase history, you'll want to contact the official Xbox Support teams such as Live Chat or Phone Support.

The other question I have is how did you obtain the game originally? Did you get it through Games with Gold when it was offered back in 2014?

If so, you will need to make sure that you have an active Xbox Live Gold Subscription on the account in order to play the game since it's required. (This needs to be a paid subscription, a trial wouldn't unlock the game for play)

 

thanks but yes i did have a copy of the purchase in my Microsoft account and at the time the subscription to Xbox live - gold had just run out and once i renewed that i still had the digital copy of the game for halo reach which i only downloaded recently
to the Xbox. i only got the Xbox one this Christmas (2015), so i only just found out a couple of weeks ago that i could download Xbox 360 games to my Xbox one. i just want to know if the delay between me renewing my subscription to Xbox live - gold could have
effected play and why i can not get it to work. please could you help.

 

no if your account has gold status and your have it tied to the account you should be able to play it.

delete the game and re install it from my games and apps that should bring it back in if you havent already done so. if that still stops working i would follow the advice above as its accurate.
