    I got the new Xbox Series X and whenever I play a game my tv displays a message saying “Game mode has been turned on.” My hdmi cable is the on that came with the Series X and I can not turn game mode off.

    Depending on what TV it is, then Game Mode will be activated every time a game launches...my TV does the same which was fine for my console as I was gaming but not for my PC which wasn't...I found you could disable it for the specific port in question.

    I'd recommend looking into your TV's settings to see if there's something there

    Thank you so much. I have a roku tv so I went into settings, tv inputs, HDMI mode, and set it to auto for anyone else with the same issue.

    Keep in mind that there's usually a reason why TVs have a game mode. (Faster response time/less lag being the most obvious one.)

    On most TVs you can edit each viewing mode separately (contrast, saturation, brightness, etc.) if there's something bothering you about it.

    There is no menu with this function on the console. This notification is not from the console, it's from your TV and this mode too. As I said, on my TV I turned off Game mode and when starting a game it's still off.

    Sometimes your tv mode will affect this. Happened to me a few years ago with game mode turned on. Does your Xbox automatically turn game mode on?
