Game mode on TV question

Discus and support Game mode on TV question in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; Hello, my LG TV has video modes such as Standard, Game, Vivid and few others.     Game mode on TV question


    Hello, my LG TV has video modes such as Standard, Game, Vivid and few others. When I play games on Series X I choose the game mode, it seems to work fine, however the TV is older and I heard that game mode can actually make graphics worse is that true? Or is game mode on TV still perfect for Series X gaming?

    If the question is what settings on your TV suit best. Look for game mode. Set to game mode and you will deal with the input lag. Some tvs the input lag is crazy. Not sure if this is what you are asking?

    Depending on what TV it is, then Game Mode will be activated every time a game launches...my TV does the same which was fine for my console as I was gaming but not for my PC which wasn't...I found you could disable it for the specific port in question.

    I'd recommend looking into your TV's settings to see if there's something there

    Higher the HTZ, the better the picture quality. Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure HTZ doesn't affect the FPS of a game.

    XBOX One won't pass surround sound through HDMI Pass through..

    Dumb question. Say I have xbox off and reciever off. Will TV still pass through to tv just using tv for volume? Right now it works when my receiver is in standby mode.

    Yeah,game mode is an option on a lot of tv's.It's usually in the picture mode on your tv so you'd have options like "cinema" "sports" "natural" "game mode" etc.

    If it's an older tv you may not have game mode but pretty much all tv's made in the past few years do have it.
