Game library won't load

Game library won't load. Xbox recognized my external hard drive and loads my app list just not my game library. Every fix i have tried is temporary. It reverts right back after i reset or shut down my xbox one

had this 3 times now since i have my one X.

sometimes only a few one games are missing (external hdd2), somtimes only my 360 games (external hdd1) ,

all i can say, every time it fixed itself after some time and some reboots.

Hello welcome to the forums!

Some external hard drives when they have a lot of games on storage they don't load all the games on my game and apps.

I have a WD that do that, i only need to olay a game and go back to my game and apps and it shows me all the games

I completely removed the ecternal harddrive and redownloaded lego marvel onto my xbox and as soon as i reset the xbox it disappears from the library but i can still play it from the dashboard pin. It will show up if i refresh my library but disappears
after reset. This just started after the December update.

Thanks for coming to the forums. Sorry for the issue with your external hard drive. We recommend to try it on a PC. If it does the same we recommend to re-format the hard drive and download the games again.

The easiest short term workaround i have found is to press the xbox circle button im the middle to bring up the menu. Then hover over games and apps. Once the games and apps icon is green hit the menu button to the left of the circle (the one with 3
horizontal lines) then hit refresh. It takes 2 seconds and the full library shows. It's just a bit of a process younger kids to remember.
