Game is free on Game pass, It says installed but I can't play it.

I downloaded The Walking Dead: A New Frontier (The entire season) on the game pass. In the game it says I have the season pass, but when i went to install episode 2 (i was able to play episode 1), the microsoft store would only let me buy it, but also
said I had already installed Episode 2. I can't play it for some reason, and don't want to buy 4 episodes when it's already on the game pass.

This is just a thought and probably not the solution.

The first one I would recommend trying is like mentioned above, try uninstalling and reinstalling.

Sometimes with series like The Walking Dead. Life Is Strange etc..They can treat other episodes (IE: Episode 2, Episode 3) like DLC, and you have to have the first episode still installed to play the other episodes. Even if you have played the entire first
season. This happened to me when I installed Life Is Strange 2 Episode 2. The second episode worked the same way as DLC does so it wouldn't show up or play because I had deleted episode 1 after finishing it. It told me Episode 2 was installed and it took me
quite awhile to figure it out. Just thought I'd mention it.

Same here.i tried several times. The season pass purchase goes through. The telltale sign refreshes and says updating DLC. Then nothing. Can't install or play them. Says buy. Click on that. Says error user already owns content.....

Got tired of waiting to see if game pass would be the complete deal. Don't they realize season one is free anyways? Nothing free on gamepass lol .

I had the same problem but with the Xbox gold free games. I had installed a free game after removing old games I dont play and after I went to install the game... it took off my fiance's forza game that he got off the game pass. Easy to say I canceled
my game and put his back on there.

I can't install any game on xbox game pass but it says error 0x000000001

I did this too and talked with Customer Support. They said you can't play on PC with Game Pass. Even though a Sea of Thieves ad pops up at my Windows 10 start button for the Microsoft Store, and clearly says "Play Free with Game Pass" with $59.99 crossed
out. Why would this pop up on my Windows 10 PC when you can't play on PC with Game Pass? It's very misleading. Plus, now that I've activated my two-week trial on Game Pass, it's going to be wasted. They can't pause it ... I asked.
