Game installing without actually downloading

So, I tried installing Metro Exodus through the game pass app, but the download is perpetually stuck at 0 Mbps. I tried canceling the download which seemed to work, but opening the Microsoft Store app shows that Metro Exodus is still very much downloading,
still stuck at 0% with a download speed of 0 Mbps. Pausing the download doesn't work, nor does canceling it. If I cancel from the Microsoft Store rather than the Xbox beta app, the download just restarts, still stuck at 0 Mbps. I haven't seen anyone report
anything similar and I all the store fixes that Microsoft recommends don't seem to fix anything. If anyone has experienced anything similar or can offer some insight as to how this could be fixed, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Hopefully that helps get you in the right direction.

If this doesn't help, power cycling your devices helps with a lot of the issues normally.

1.) when you play games while downloading content, it becomes slower because it is running your game and the download

2.) Try undownloading it and download it again

I've had this before, and doing a hard reset of the console did the trick for me. Hold down the power button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it completely shuts down to perform a hard reset (you can also disconnect the power cable
from the back of the console for 30 seconds AFTER shutting down the console to reset the system cache, but I'd try a simple hard reset first).

Thanks for the quick response. I actually managed to install the app through the Windows Store app (I have been using the installer downloaded from Microsoft.com). Games are running without issues. Thanks again
